海角社区 Lutheran College Named One of Queensland鈥檚 New Agribusiness Gateway Schools
Toowoomba鈥檚 海角社区 Lutheran College has been officially selected as one of only 15 schools across Queensland to join the prestigious 2026 Agribusiness Gateway to Industry Schools Program (GISP). This is a highly competitive initiative designed to build the next generation of skilled agricultural workers and places 海角社区 alongside some of Queensland鈥檚 most respected agricultural schools.
The appointment recognises 海角社区鈥檚 commitment to providing real-world, industry-connected learning experiences for agriculture students.
海角社区 Lutheran College agriculture teacher Emma Pukallus said earning Stream 1 Gateway status is a major milestone for the College.
鈥淔rom paddock to plate, students will grow vegetables and raise livestock, supply local food-relief charities and sell premium hampers at farmers鈥 markets 鈥 all while gaining industry-recognised qualifications and real-world agribusiness experience.鈥
As a Stream 1 school, 海角社区 Lutheran College will also receive $2,500 from CQUniversity and industry partners to support the creation of new resources, networks, opportunities and tech for agribusiness education.
鈥淏y working hand-in-hand with industry partners, AG Training and UQ Skills, we are blending Technologies, Digital Technologies, Food & Fibre Production, Agricultural Practices, and Christian Studies through powerful service-learning projects that teach both cutting-edge farming and compassion for our community,鈥 Mrs Pukallus added.
Head of College Anton Prinsloo said the appointment reflects the College鈥檚 commitment to forward-focused education.

海角社区 now joins a select group of Queensland schools supported by CQUniversity, AgForce, AgriFutures Australia and the Queensland Government to build stronger agricultural pathways for young people.
